At Trace Skin Care, we’re such big fans of Eve Hanley of “Noted & Quoted,” that we’ve decorated our new offices with her amazing magnetic boards. We have them on display (and for sale!) all the time. Read all about Eve and her fantastic creations below.

Eve Hanley – Noted & Quoted

In creating her one-of-a-kind magnetic boards, Eve Hanley draws on both sides of her upbringing. With a creative spark inherited from her interior designer mom and a pragmatic streak instilled by her father, Hanley’s boards are a perfect blend of the playful and the practical, seamlessly combining spontaneous inspiration and everyday usability. In other words, they work – on a kitchen wall or an art-filled hall, Hanley’s magnetic boards are pure magic.

“As a kid, I could go to a fabric store with my mom, and just stay all day,” Hanley says. “I’ve always loved design, and I’ve always been drawn to fabric.”

After graduating from Boston University, the Nashville native followed her area of study into the financial marketplace, enjoying several successful years in money management.  When it came time to start a family, however, Hanley’s artistic side reemerged. She wanted to do something creative. With her love of fabric and need for organization (children’s schedules, invitations, artwork, etc.), her wheels started spinning…and it started with the fabric.

Tina Givens’ Cid Pear stationery line encouraged Hanley do some research. She had always been drawn to Givens’ beautiful drawings.  And then she discovered her fabric!

With the powerful inspiration of Givens’ designs as her jumping off point, Hanley established her company, Noted & Quoted, and began creating her magnetic boards. The reaction was immediate and overwhelming. Equally comfortable at home or in a gallery, these uniquely versatile, handcrafted boards – available in a variety of configurations – are a visual and tactile delight, utilizing rough-hewn wood frames and rich, expressive fabrics to evoke a variety of moods and motifs.
