Vinegar Soak Instructions
2 Cups of Water + 1 Teaspoon of White Vinegar
Dip a few sanitary cloths into vinegar solution and place wet cloth against the sensitive skin. Gently press to ensure vinegar solution wets the skin.
Rinse, and repeat for 10- 15 minutes at a time.
Most ointment (pro-salve, aquaphor) should come off during the soak. Do NOT rub.
- Solution may be pre mixed and kept in the refrigerator. Additional solution may also be mixed and placed into a spray bottle also refrigerated to mist conveniently and more frequently.
- Apply ointment immediately after soaking. If skin becomes dry or scabbed you will need to soak more often.
- You can NOT soak too much! This reduces redness and swelling, and speeds the healing.
- Do NOT pick, rub, scrub or irritate your skin while it is healing. Natural exfoliation will occur.
- Do not expose treated areas to the sun, Apply a UVA/UVB sun protectant. (We recommend a highly concentrated zinc sunscreen) UVA exposure can lead to re darkening of the skin.
- Itching, tightness and a sun burned feeling are all normal.
